Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of These Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Saisons, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the app.

These Terms apply to the Saisons application and the features made available within it, including personal archive features, media features, optional voice memo features, film rendering features, and optional consumable Points purchases.

2. Saisons Service

Saisons is a local-first personal utility for organizing life records across years and seasons. Depending on the version of the app, features may allow you to:

• Organize personal archives by year and season;
• Activate and manage spring, summer, autumn, and winter archives;
• Create events with titles, notes, ratings, and other metadata;
• Attach photos to events;
• Record optional voice memos;
• Review memories from previous seasons and years;
• Create Season Films, Year Recaps, and Highlights Reels;
• Purchase consumable Points for supported film rendering features;
• Save, export, or share supported generated content.

Saisons is not a live social network and does not provide user-to-user messaging through the app's core service.

3. Eligibility and Device Use

You may use Saisons only in accordance with these Terms, applicable laws, Apple's applicable App Store terms, and the rules governing your device and operating system.

If you are legally considered a minor where you live, you should use the app only with authorization or supervision where required by applicable law.

4. Your Content and Local Storage

You retain responsibility for the content that you create, import, record, or otherwise provide within Saisons, including photos, notes, voice memos, titles, ratings, and other personal archive information.

Saisons is designed so that your personal archive content remains stored locally on your device unless you choose to export or share content yourself.

Because the app does not operate a general cloud account or server-side archive system for your personal records, you are responsible for managing your device, device backups, exports, and other copies of your content.

5. Device Permissions

Certain Saisons features require optional access to device capabilities. Depending on the feature you choose, the app may request permission to use:

• Notifications;
• App Tracking Transparency where applicable;
• Camera access;
• Photo Library access;
• Microphone access;
• Permission to add finished content to Photos.

You may allow or decline optional permissions through the prompts and controls provided by iOS. Some specific features may not function without the corresponding permission, but declining an optional permission does not automatically prevent use of unrelated core features.

6. Season Film Features

Saisons may provide film creation features that use your selected archive records and media to create vertical-format films, including:

• Season Film — focused on one season;
• Year Recap — covering a full year across seasons;
• Highlights Reel — based on selected or highly rated moments.

Film rendering is designed to occur on your device. The quality, timing, appearance, duration, and availability of generated results may depend on your device, operating system, available storage, selected source material, and other technical conditions.

Generated films are based on the content and materials available in your archive. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights and permissions to use any photos, audio, or other content you include.

7. Points and In-App Purchases

7.1 Optional Consumable Points

Saisons may offer optional consumable Points packs through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Available packs may include:

• Season Seed — $0.99;
• Season Pack — $2.99;
• Season Reserve — $9.99;
• Season Studio — $19.99;
• Season Vault — $49.99;
• Season Archive — $99.99.

Actual prices are displayed by Apple before purchase and may vary based on country, region, currency, applicable taxes, and App Store pricing.

7.2 Points Usage

Points may be used only for supported film rendering features made available by Saisons. The current Points costs may include:

• First eligible Season Film — free;
• Additional Season Film — 100 Points;
• Highlights Reel — 100 Points;
• Year Recap — 250 Points.

Feature availability and applicable Points requirements may be displayed in the app before you confirm an eligible rendering action.

7.3 Consumable and Device-Local Nature of Points

Points are consumable digital items. They are not a subscription, membership, stored-value financial account, or transferable currency.

Consumed Points are not restored. The app does not provide a Restore Purchases button for previously consumed Points because consumable purchases are generally not restorable in the same manner as non-consumable purchases.

The available Points balance is maintained locally on the device for use within Saisons. If the app is deleted, local app data is removed, or the relevant device-local state is lost, the remaining local Points balance may also be unavailable or lost.

You should review all purchase confirmations presented by Apple before completing a transaction.

8. Apple App Store and Payment Terms

If you download or purchase content through Saisons using Apple's App Store, the applicable transaction is also subject to Apple's applicable media services, App Store, payment, billing, and purchase terms.

Purchases are processed by Apple using the payment method associated with your Apple account. Saisons does not directly collect or store your payment card information.

Apple may apply its own rules regarding billing, refunds, purchase history, parental controls, and other transaction matters. Where applicable, those Apple rules may govern in addition to these Terms.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Saisons in a manner that violates applicable law or the rights of others. You are responsible for the content you choose to store, process, export, or share.

In particular, you agree not to use the app to knowingly:

• Violate applicable laws or regulations;
• Infringe copyright, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
• Process or distribute content for which you lack necessary rights or permissions;
• Attempt to interfere with the normal operation or security of the app;
• Reverse engineer or misuse the app except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law;
• Use the app in a fraudulent or deceptive manner.

10. Availability and Changes to Features

Saisons is software that may be updated, modified, improved, or discontinued over time. Features, user interface elements, Points requirements, and supported device capabilities may change through app updates where permitted by applicable law and App Store requirements.

We do not guarantee that every feature will be available on every device, operating system version, region, or future version of the app.

We may provide updates to address security, compatibility, technical, legal, or feature-related issues. You may need to install available updates to continue receiving certain improvements or compatibility support.

11. Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Saisons is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory.

We do not guarantee that the app will always operate without interruption, error, data loss, rendering failure, device compatibility issues, or other technical problems.

Generated films are automated outputs based on the records and media available on your device. Results may vary and may not always meet a particular creative, archival, commercial, or technical expectation.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of or inability to use Saisons.

This may include, where permitted by law, loss of local content, loss of data, loss of device-local Points, loss resulting from app deletion, loss resulting from device failure, or loss associated with third-party export or sharing destinations.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such limitation would be prohibited by applicable law.

13. Termination and Ending Use

You may stop using Saisons at any time by discontinuing use of the app and, if you choose, deleting the app from your device.

Deleting the app may remove locally stored archive data and the locally maintained Points balance. Before deleting the app, you should consider exporting any content you wish to keep.

Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination, including provisions concerning intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and other continuing legal obligations, may continue to apply after you stop using the app.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the app, applicable law, Apple platform requirements, purchase features, or other operational requirements.

When these Terms are updated, the "Last updated" date may be revised. Your continued use of Saisons after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
